Gathering together at the Westbrook Elementary School parking lot on a fortunately clear sky day, we competed not by athletic ability, but with chalk. Two brackets (11- & 12+) competed for separate 1st-, 2nd-, and 3rd-place prizes, including gift cards to Raleys O-N-E, Flour Dust Pizza, Mo’Joes, & Starbucks. After a long 5-hour period for everyone to get their masterpieces onto the pavement, our directors graded every piece on their originality, quality, ability to follow the prompt, and complexity and chose 6 winners from our combined scores.
